Are goji berries safe for dogs?

The short answer is YES!. They are safe but in moderate amounts. Also, National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) approved This. 

According to many veterinarians, Goji Berries do not appear to be toxic for dogs. They saw dogs can live without any problem after eating Goji berries. But not only toxicity.

Can harm an animal. Can goji berries allergic to dogs? Most dogs are not allergic to goji berries. But it is possible. We have few examples. You can check if your dog is allergic to goji berries by feeding it the fewest amount of berries and looking for symptoms. How to feed

There are no specific ways to feed dogs with goji berries. You have to give them like humans. Dried goji berries are easy to use. You can buy them on the market. They are using for raw vegan elixirs. There are many ways to prepare goji meals. We about Raw Goji Snack Chunks, a tasty, free of refined sugar and animal fats food.

Things you need:-

  • Sunflower seeds 
  • Cup pumpkin seeds 
  • Sesame seeds – 1/4 cup
  • Hemp seeds – 1/4 cup
  • Almond butter – 1/4 cup
  • A mixture of goji berries, raisins, and dried cranberries – 1/3 cup
  • Water – 1/3 cup
  • Buckwheat (sprouted and dehydrated) – 1 cup
  • Olive oil – 1 tablespoon
  • Agave – 2 tablespoons
  • Medjool dates – 6
  • Salt – 1 pinch

How to make:-

  1. Until get smooth, blend the Medjool dates with water next add almond butter and olive oil to that paste and blend.
  2. Take pumpkin, sunflower, hemp, and sesame. Combine these four types of seeds with buckwheat and date paste in a food processer. Then pulse blend until a textured dough is formed.
  3. The goji berries, raisins, and cranberries mix pour into a bowl with a spatula or a spoon.
  4. Now the dough is ready. Spread it on a dehydrator then marks it with a knife. It helps you to separate the chunks when the dough dehydrated.
  5. Dehydrate for about 6 hours. The temperature will rise to 115 ℉ and the dough will crust is crispy on the outside but squishy in the center.

So how are goji berries good for eyesight? They are believed to protect against age-related eye diseases in humans. The same thing can be applied to dogs. As I said above, goji berries contain antioxidants. They can protect your dog’s eye from harmful UV rays.

Anti-inflammatory

Free radicals are produced either from normal cell metabolisms in situ or from external sources like pollution, cigarette smoke, radiation, and medication. When their amount reaches limits they cannot destroy completely. This situation is called oxidative stress. It leads to many problems including well-known cancer. Anti-inflammatory properties include in goji berries help to reduce free radicals.

Can goji berries grow in home gardens?

Yes. You can grow them in your garden. You can also buy them as dried on market. But you can save money and also it will be a good hobby like petting your dog.

How to grow goji berries?

  1. Start with the seed. You need to peel. Open each goji berry and scrape out the seed. This can be a bit sticky but you will find a way. You can use a butter knife if you want. Seeds are very small and can stick sometimes but that is not a question.
  2. Next, you need small pots to drop seeds. Fill it with soil (pH between 6.5 and 8.0). Drop few seeds into each pot. There is an easy tip to do that. Put seeds on the top of one finger and drop them by another finger. Then cover them up.
  3. Let them grow in some warm place. When they grow up only one plant can survive in one pot so pull some plants gently and plant them in other pots.

You have to wait at least 3 years to eat goji berries from those trees.
